I've been at my healthy eating for 9 days and have already lost 6.2 pounds! Once I lose the first 10, then I know I can do it. How long did it take you to lose your first 10?

About 2 weeks. Water weight plus the fact that I was 375 lbs when I started made it drop fast.0

3 weeks. The 2nd 10? 4 MONTHS. I was stuck for a really long time, but I'm finally at 20 lbs lost.0
-
About 5 weeks after I stopped eating processed foods.0

2 weeks. Not sure why I dropped so fast. Could be water weight? I am expecting I'll easily lose the next 5-7lbs and then struggle for the final 10. My body really likes weighing 155-152lbs but it hates going below that.0

Wow! It took me about 2 1/2 months...0

One month, but I was paranoid about losing weight too fast and getting saggy skin (I'm 50). I could have lost faster but deliberately ate to slow my loss rate.0

Two weeks, but I also had 90lb. to take off.0

Took me two weeks0

2 days, but I was a special case. I went to the doctor and my weight was 311. They did blood tests to find out why I was so out of breath and it turns out I was severely anemic so I was put in the hospital. Fast forward 2 days and after 4 blood transfusions including some diuretics and a liquid diet to prep for GI tests, I was 299.
It took 6 weeks to lose the next 10.0 -
About 2 weeks, but I was 285 lbs when I began.0

Been at it since May 13th, and have lost 7 pounds. Each person is different, I guess. Just keep at it!0

It took me three months, and my last ten pounds took one month. I'm almost at my goal weight now, I just need to work out more to tone up.0

The first ten pounds fell off in about 3 weeks. It has been much slower going ever since, about 7 pounds in the last two months. I am not trying to lose a lot at once though.0

about a month. The scale only budged two pounds in the first 4 weeks then I lost 8 pounds in two days. Apparently I was retaining a lot of water.0

2 weeks but it was mostly water weight and I started at 252 lbs.0

Thank you. I have also been at it since May and have only lost 6 lbs. With everyone saying it only took them a few weeks or a couple months, I was starting to get worried.0 -
After going back over my report (didn't actually know), it appears it took 15 days to drop the first 10. I'm quite impressed with myself. Ever since, I have been losing on average 1 lb a week. I don't really care how fast or slow it comes off as long as it comes off.

This is quite interesting. Seems the average is 2 weeks, thus far.
I imagine I won't have such luck :laugh:0 -
After both babies, using MFP, the first 10 lbs took about a month.
After baby #1 I was eating 1200 calories/day and lost about 2 lbs/week fairly consistently after that.
After baby #2 I am eating 1500-1700 calories/day and am losing 1-1.5 lbs/week.
I had a lot to lose both times because apparently I am really good at gaining weight while pregnant!0 -
6 weeks. hit 10 lbs yesterday!0
