not vain at all! Definately NOT curly, I find that alweays makes my face look chubbier. ( I have a round face as well ) maybe try a low sexy ponytail, or traighten it with maybe a little pulled away from your face or clipped back?

    I totally hear ya!

Youtube has some great tutorials on how to do make up. My suggestion if you'd like is to find one about contouring with blush and stuff. It's kinda helped me a little since I have more of a rounder/oval combination face.

    Hair? Straight
  • Not a silly question!

My tips on looking slimmer in that dress....

Avoid all carbonated beverages even if they are calorie free. They add bloat. Also avoid salty foods and excess carbs because they also give you a bloated look before your night out. Drink lots of water that day to flush out any water you might be retaining.

Bronzer always makes your face look thinner! Also avoid getting blush too close to your nose because it tends to make your nose look bigger.

    Enjoy!

pull all or some up out of your face. With some height at the crow of your head. That brings the eyes in in upward direction.

Sometimes Height can help a rounded face, so make sure you get lots of poof in the very top, at the end of your part, or something like a bump-it type hairclip.

Not sure on the dress, since I never wear one.

I creeped your profile pics. I think you look awesome with your hair down. I wouldn't change it. IMHO:flowerforyou:

I agree about the straight hair. I feel like I look thinner when my hair is straightened. I like to clip a little bit of it in the front straight back with a little poof but not like Snookie or anything, LOL! As far as makeup, I'm not exactly sure but probably the way you do your cheek bones would make you look thinner. I'd have to google it!
  • Only put the blush along the cheek bone - no further. try to use a neutral but darker tone [not pink], it will add definiton and slim your face. Also pulling your hair up and letting it drape down your neck does make your face look slimmer and your neck longer. Good luck I am sure you will look amazing. ......I do agree with bringing your hair back away from your face, using a bronzer, avoiding sodium, and drinking lots of water.....

I have a round face, and my trick is to wear it straight but put volume at the roots, and a layered side fringe to break my face up a little.
This techique has been mastered over the last 2 years so bear with me...

I achieve this by shampooing twice, and using a very light conditioner, so that my hair isnt too soft. I then put a medium strength mouse through my layers, and dry my hair in 3 sections separately (so that you can put shape in). To do this i first tie up from my ears up and dry the botton, then tie the crown section up, and dry the top last. I dry using a round barrel brush to get some good volume in.
It will look silly at first, which is why I then use straightners to straighen out the ends (again layer by layer)
I finish it off by spraying quite a lot of dry shampoo onto my scalp about an inch under my parting, and use that to volumise the top bit then push up the layers and hairspray! Tra Dum!

Black, slimming dress right at or right above the knee and definitely 4-5" heels. The height always gives the illusion of being slimmer! I noticed a lot of people said to wear your hair straight, but I noticed for me, my face looks rounder and chubbier when I straighten my hair. I like doing the long, Kim Kardashian type curls. Long and full - big hair :) But that may just be my face shape that looks chubbier with straight hair. I think your hair looks great straight in your pics!

Just rock a fantastic pair of heels. You'll stand straighter and look taller, and therefore thinner.

I used to sell jewelry and one of the things I learned is that the longer the necklace, the thinner you look! The best way to wear a long necklace is to make it into a "Y" shape. The way you can do this is my taking a long, loopy necklace and instead of clasping it where it is supposed to be, clasp it somewhere in the middle so that a part of it hangs straight down. This will direct everyone's eyes straight up and down instead of side to side, therefore, giving the appearance of being thinner.

I also agree with the straight hair idea. Long and straight will also direct the attention up and down.

Have you ever worn Spanx? I HATE them, but they do work quite a bit of magic in the thinning department!

So I have a roundish/square face, and I love my hair done big curls, away from the face. If you look at my pics, there are some in there with it, like my wedding one. Everytime I wear my hari like this I get tons of compliments. I can tell you how to do it if you would like, just message me :)

make sure you backcomb your hair to give it volume, the better your hair looks the better you feel - or thats how i am anyways!

as for makeup, take a light brown and shade under your jaw-line... the definition really makes a difference and looks great in photos. also, you can do some shading on your face... i use the same light brown, under my cheek bones... just below where you would put your bronzer... then angled up towards your ears.

this chick explains it pretty well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ja7-Nk21uiw

and if all else fails... throw on some cute false eyelashes to make you feel sexy... insta-glam <3
