lost 20 pounds in the last 2 weeks & ketosis?

Hi! Basically all my life I've struggled with my weight, always up & down since I was a child. About 2 weeks ago I jumped on the scale, saw I'm at my highest weight I've ever been so I started eating healthier. On Monday I decided to start eating vegan & have been following it so far! I'm not starving myself at all, & am using healthy fats like olive oil & avocado so it's not exactly low calorie. At work I am very active, & I've started going to the gym. Anyways tonight I noticed I was down 20 pounds in just 2 weeks! I don't know if my body is going crazy or what? I am on my period & usually I gain weight. Anyone know if it's just water weight or actual weight? Also, Saturday night I had a KILLER migraine & woke up today fine. I've also had some dizzy spells this weekend. I know that these are signs of ketosis but I have been eating pasta lately, not huge portions but still. Anyone have any ideas? I honestly feel like I'm going crazy!

    Closed diary so we can't see - how many grams of carbohydrate per day have you been eating ?

    20 lbs is too much for it to be water, can you not see or measure a difference eg around your neck, middle etc.

    I recently just started tracking my measurments, I can feel the difference in my clothes a bit & I can tell my body has changed a bit, not sure how many carbs I've been getting, haven't tracked my eating yet.

    I'd check in with my doc just to make sure nothing serious is going on as far as the weight loss and dizzy spells. Otherwise, If he gives you the green light, then keep at whatever you're doing cause its working for you.
