Misfit shine

So I got the misfit shine to track my activities. I haven't worked out yet and it says I've already burned 659 calories. Does this small tracker also count what I burn by just being alive? If so that's super cool! Otherwise can someone explain the calorie situation thanks!

It does tell you how many calories you burn just be being alive! It's really cool. I like my Shine a lot - and I hope MyFitnessPal eventually syncs with it!0
