I'm NOT wanting to hear about restricting, etc. What I'm saying is "I got the flu and couldn't stomach anything so I lost 5lbs in 3 days" or in my case "New workout DVD program and lost 4.3lbs in 3 days"

I did ww 25 years ago. I lost 10lbs the first week. Proceeded to lose another 40 and got preggers...so for the next 25 years I concluded that dieting causes pregnancy so I quit...0

I lost 6lbs in a week last week, weighed in on Monday for a challenge (usually weigh in on Friday) and was massively retaining fluid after a boozey weekend. Weighed in again, 6lbs down. 80% of it was water weight.0

Got off mood stabilizers and dropped 20 pounds in a week.0

9 lbs in a week on Atkins, but I guess you don't want to hear about that?0

My husband lost like 15lbs in 8 days but he was in hospital, nil by mouth.0

After my oldest was born (well, first I lost like 10+lbs in the delivery room--baby plus all the other stuff, lol), I got really, really sick with a stomach bug. Between trying to keep up with nursing while not able to keep anything in me, I lost a significant amount of weight in 10 days. Hospitalized for dehydration type sick. :frown:
Ugh, I weighed LESS than my pre-pregnancy weight at my 6 week post-partum check up. And I was a healthy, normal 135lbs before baby boy and 175 lbs going into labor. Weighed in at 125lbs at the 6 week check up. So total weight loss--50 lbs in 6 weeks.
Moral of the story--if you're that sick--DON'T wait to get it checked out for fear the doctor will make you stop nursing. Procrastination will kill the booby milk just fine on its own:brokenheart:0 -
7 lbs in a week on Atkins.
20 lbs in 3 weeks with life-threatening pneumonia. (not a recommended diet plan)0 -
I lost 10 pounds my first week of "Body Back." no restricting...I went from eating all garbage to eating only whole foods- 3 meals and 3 snacks a day. It felt AMAZING! I lost 30 pounds in 6 months sticking with that program and I hope to lose 20 more0

I suppose I have another, more common weight loss "record". I lost 7lbs in the first 10 days of logging. It was the end of the school semester, so I wasn't eating the cafeteria food (i.e. MEGA sodium--I am supposed to limit it for medical reasons) any more. WHOOSH! Water retention---GONE! Not a crazy, restricted calorie goal or anything (goal of 1lb/week loss).
Surprisingly, it didn't really come back (that I noticed). Good that I kept it off. Bad, I must be VERY mindful of my cafeteria food choices in the future, and brown bag many of my own meals. Oh, I will miss you, my lovely Nacho Day--well, just not every day!0
