    Apples, bananas, grapes, carrots, jerky, marinated chicken/beef/fish for grilling, corn on the cob, chopped veggies, tortillas, peanut butter, and then of course S'MORES! Life is too short to be around a campfire and not have s'mores. :-)

    Anything you can prep early at home before hand, we marinate meat at home and pack in freezer bags or pre cut salads or fruits. Veggies that roast well in tinfoil are awesome and easy to add a healthy touch to any meal. Oatmeal and berries for breakfast is also great and healthy plus keeps you full so you don't snack a ton before lunch. I also agree have some treats, you're camping after all need to take advantage of the experience.

    * Water for the duration [meals + hikes + AM& PM ablutions]
    * Nuts & Dried Fruit or Trail mix
    * Oats
    * Celery & carrots & cucumbers for snacks [surprisingly lasts a weekend camping trip]
    * Hummus
    * Powdered Eggs or pre-boiled eggs [stored in a cooler]
    * Whole grain pita & tortilla
    * Fruits
    * Veggies [ squash, sweet potatoes, courgettes, eggplant etc]
    * Nut + veggie + fruit butters
    * Tuna in pouches
    * Smoked meats [sausages, salmon]
    * Frozen meat tripple wrapped in foil and then vacuum sealed or zip locked. [Would eat ASAP]
    * Quick cooking lentils & beans
    * Pickled veggies & eggs [if it's your thing]
    * Pasta, couscous and quick cooking rice

    Will pop back if I can think of anything else. :smile:

    * Any spices you like to flavour your meal with and cannot live without.

    essential for OP to define "healthy" to eventually go for the "other campers" option!

    Pigs in blankets?

    Where you eat your food doesn't change it's nutritional content :-p .. So what is healthy at home is still healthy when camping :-p
