I don't know you all do it.... I don't know what drives me more crazy... watching movies or the dreadmill....but both??0

I like action movies when I'm on the treadmill. I like the Bourne Trilogy.
I just watched The Bourne Legacy on the treadmill last week.
(I load movies onto my phone to watch.)0 -
I can't believe you found kill boll vol. 1 boring.... I was going to suggest both volumes of that. So I'll offer My Cousin Vinny instead. And Grudge Match.0

I like documentaries - "Fat, Tired and Nearly Dead", "Forks Over Knives". One of my favorite comedies with a hidden workout theme is "Ruthless People."0

I watch movies that I love, like Harry Potter, but ill also watch tv on Netflix. I've watched orange is the new black, supernatural, etc. Whatever peaks your interest is what it'll be. I can't listen to music cuz I'll die on the treadmill, but I'm sure others feel differently. I'll even go on the treadmill while shows are on the channels (I go on my phone our kindle during commercials).0

I like watching TV shows on Netflix while I am on my elliptical or my bike. Some faves include: Xena, Monk, Murder, She Wrote, Sherlock, Cheers, Buffy, The Vampire Slayer, and Angel. Sometimes it just depends on if I am in the mood for someone or something to get their butts kicked or if I need some comedy to get me through the workout!
Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials!0 -
thanks everyone! there are some great suggestions here! i didnt find Kill Bill "boring" per say... it was just.... i was having an emotional day and there was a lot of violence (which NORMALLY doesn't bother me) i plan on watching vol 2. had a rough week and stuck to shorter exercises. but i get off work early today so i plan on doing another movie. ^_^
edited to add: i am totally cought up on supernatural, doctor who, and sherlock (superwholock FTW!!) and dont really want to get into another show so thats why im picking movies the end of this year is just going to be amazing!0 -
I was umming and aaahing over whether to start the Lord Of The Rings trilogy (extended editions of course) next, and do them in 30-60min stints according to whatever I do on the elliptical trainer. But I'm not sure if they are pacey enough for me.0

Zero Dark Thirty will keep you pumped up for the entire flick. Plus, the female CIA agent in a rockstar.
Good Luck!

I've recently been watching Bleach while on the stationary bike whenever I do that. I generally find that genre of anime with it's multi-episode-long fights kind of boring, but it pairs really well with high intensity workouts.0

i am getting married in 32 days and FINALLY! it has hit me! (thank all the gods!) I have decided that every night i will enjoy a movie and walk my happy (big) little but off (literally)!
So far my movies have been:
Mean Girls
Jumanji (bad choice, it moved way slower than i remembered but i was still smiling the whole time)
Resident Evil
Kill Bill Vol 1. (fiancees suggestion, i had never seen it before and it took until Lucy Lu's apperence to keep my attention)
So yeah. If anyone has any suggestions please post! thanks all!
Every night before your wedding you are going to spend two hours on the treadmill? How about something more sustainable? Logging on MFP, eating at a moderate deficit, weight lifting alternated with or without cardio.... It just seems like you are setting yourself up for failure with this plan which is a sad way to spend what should be a joyful time in your life.0 -
Get Smart
Crazy, Stupid, Love
Date Night
Can you tell I love Steve Carell? I think light hearted, funny movies would be great for working out on the treadmill. Anything too epic would be spoiled by the environment. Some other cute or funny ones include:
My Life in Ruins
Leap Year
One for the Money0 -
the James Cracknell documentaries are motivational, if he can run through death valley with a broken toe (from doing the marathon des sables 6 weeks prior), you can stay on the treadmill!!!
There's 3 documentaries, one is the marathon des sables, one is race across america and think the first one was the yukon ultra.0 -
Bridesmaids
The heat
Identity theif
Charlies angels

Silly me, why haven't I ever thought of this. I just did an hour on my bike watching the first episode of The Bridge. It flew by and I got a new personal record, too!0

Great series! You'll enjoy!0 -
American Beauty (I always feel very motivated and full of joie de vivre when I watch this film) and Run, Fatboy, Run (great film, very funny, makes me want to run, makes me feel like I can do anything at all!).0

that movie is so under-appreciated! i laughed so hard (and wanted to cry too b/c that seems to be our actual reality).0

Zombieland
Kick *kitten* (haven't seen the sequel)
Superbad
Dodgeball
Zoolander0
