Does anyone have any good turkey recipies? I have to get my cholesterol down and hate seafood, so turkey and chicken it is. Also I need good Chicken recipies. It would also be great if it was something I could prepare Sat/Sun for the rest of the week or even month, like freezer meals.

Use ground turkey anywhere you would normally use ground beef.

The other night I made turkey lettuce wraps. I use ground turkey in place of hamburger, I also make lots of stir fry. I cook extra chicken breast then pull it out for casseroles etc. Tacos, chili, etc

    Three Bean Turkey Chili

    1 lb ground Turkey Breast
    1 whole onion (chopped)
2 Cans Delmonte Spicy Crushed Tomatos
1 Can low Sodium Chicken Broth
1 Can Each Kidney Beans, black beans, and Cannelini Beans (drained and rinsed)
    1 TBS EVOO
    1/2 Cup chopped jalapeno
    1 TBS Cinnamon
    1 TSP Cumin
    2 TBS Salt
    2 TBS Pepper
    2 TBS Red Pepper Flake
    2 TBS Chili powder

In a pot: Sautee onion in in EVOO, when soft, brown turkey. Season with all seasonings. Once browned pour Chicken Broth in, and scrape the bottom of the pan to let drippings (if any) loose. Then add in beans, tomatos and jalapenos. Bring to boil, and then simmer off for 45 minutes.

This makes about 5-6 servings for a total of around 380-400 cals per servings. Tons of Protein and Fiber.

Agree with foxxybrown -- my mom's beef stroganoff recipe actually got BETTER with ground turkey instead of ground beef! Made turkey tacos last weekend and couldn't taste a difference. I've also switched to turkey bacon and turkey sausage -- still not GREAT for you, but a dramatic improvement. Turkey bacon is pretty floppy if you just microwave it, but it's fine if you pan fry it.

If you like a little spice, and something a man could enjoy with you, this is one of the easiest crock pot recipes ever: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Slow-Cooker-Buffalo-Chicken-Sandwiches/Detail.aspx
