HR monitor suggestions

Anyone have a not so expenssive HR monitor they use? I would like to add it to my walks as I am walking faster; with some running in it, and longer. Really do not want to spend a fortune, just looking for one that does HR. Looking for a wrist watch, but a strap one would be OK.
Also, while I am here. Does anyone know of a good set or bands I can get. Looking to start up on my p90x again and would like some good bands to use....
Thanks
Eric.

I personally love my polar bluetooth heart rate strap. You don't need to wear a watch because it connect directly to your smart phone. It is also less expensive than the watch models! This is a plus for me because I've always got my phone with me for music anyway. It also works with the machines in the gym and a polar watch if you've got one. The only time I've had an issue was in classes where I didn't have my phone close or when my phone battery dies out on a run.
Long story short, if you are attached to your phone anyways this monitor is a cheaper option and works great!

Thank you!! I actually work out with my phone. I am either walking, or at the gym I have my phone because I too and listening to music. I will have to check this out. Does it work with all phones; I have a Samsung? Do this work with Mapmyfitness app?0 -

Hi Eric,
You need to make sure that your Phone supports Bluetooth-Smart, this means that it should be running minimum Android 4.3.
