Activity Level in Goals section

Am I right to assume that your "activity level" is your every-day activity, not including workouts? Cause I walk around a bit during the day at work but besides my workouts I don't do much more than casual walking and cleaning around the house, etc.. I just ask because when I first filled out the "activity level" I was thinking including my workout, but I was stuck wondering why I was never getting close to my daily calories goal. I've only been using the app for a few days but I was always an average of 600 below and I sure wasn't hungry enough to eat another 600+ calories so I just left it short. Now that I changed my activity level to "lightly active" the goal seems a lot more attainable, and it just seems to make more sense looking at it now.. So I wanted to just double check that I now have it correct? I know eating too little can hinder your weight loss so I wanna make sure it's right. Thanks!

    Yes.

Exercise you log increases your calorie intake above the target for a day without formal exercise.

The target for exercise in the goal setting is a separate thing purely to monitor your exercise activity, it doesn't affect calories, only exercise logged with a calorie burn does that.
