lost weight now gaining weight

I'm 18, 4'11 started as 125 and lost weight to 108 pounds through cardio. however, i went to the doctors and they said my heart rate was low so i should be eating more calories. i have gonna from eating 1200 to 1500 for the past week or two (i started on Loseit! just recently changed to MFP). I went back and they said my heart rate was great now. However, now I'm gaining weight... I weighed myself today and it says I'm 110 pounds! My goal/maintenance weight is anything under 110 pounds but no lower than 105, so when i seen the scale i felt like I'm slowly losing my progress. :( I did have a cheat day last friday (4 days ago) where I consumed about 3200 calories.. could this be why? I exercise everyday with either volleyball, 2 hour long walks with my dog or the gym. If the cheat day could be the reason, should I skip my weekly cheat day this Friday to get back on track or could it be the extra calories im eating?
Please don't criticize, just need some advice thanks guys :)

Is 110 pounds too heavy for you? If your goal is under 110 pounds, but your doctor says your heart is feeling the effects when you go below 110, then maybe keep to 110.

I'm 5'3", so I understand that weight shows more on us short girls, but please keep in mind that your goal weight may not be best for your long term health.

A low resting heart rate for someone athletic is generally an indicator of good cardiovascular health. How low are we talking? And are there other underlying medical conditions? 110 is not underweight for someone 4'11". Even 100 is still healthy.

There's gotta be something more to this.

A +2 shift in weight could easily be water weight from time of the month/hormones, high sodium, change in fitness routine. Give it more time.
  • My heart rate isn't the issue anymore. i went to the doctors and he said my heart rate is back up, it's really difficult to explain that situation because they didn't explain very well and they didnt even look sure if it was the machine saying it was low or something else. but it's totally fine now. i just need to know about the weight thing. i only included the doctors to say why i changed to 1500 calories. noo need to worry!

thats what i was thinking.. should i skip my cheat day this week to get back on track?

The cheat day is up to you. "cheat day" means different things to different people.

I wouldn't really say you are 'off track' now. If you're currently eating at maintenance and you routinely double your calories one day each week then that weekly cheat day would put on 20+ pounds in a year. The goal when at maintenance, to me, is to find overall balance for long term success. You have to figure out what that takes.

Call the doctor's office. Tell them you forgot what weight the doctor god you to aim for. Get the number range and then adjust your calories and exercise to fit it. :)

I have to add though, it's totally normal for weight to fluctuate a couple pounds up and down.

    this too.

I'm up 2 pounds if I missed my poop yesterday or if its almost that time of the month.

2 pounds is nothing at all.

no specific weight. they just wanted me to consume a bit more dairy (since i dont drink milk so they suggested lower sodium/lower fat cheese) and to increase my calorie intake by 300 calories (which i did). everything with the doctor situation is fine now :)
