Bra support for painful breasts

Two weeks before my period, my breasts are agony. I've started on starflower oil to help get rid of the pain (GP advised Evening Primrose oil for the GLA but the starflower oil had more GLA). What I would like is some advice on what kind of bra I should be looking at to jog in. I have just started exercising and am walking mainly with the odd attempt at running short sections but having tried it today...OMG! Had to clamp an arm across them to stop them moving! I basically need something to strap them to my chest and prevent any movement for those two weeks of exercise.
Any ideas/help? I'm on benefits so can't afford anything too expensive.

What size are we talking? (and incidentally, are you on birth control? Hormones are very likely the cause of the pain)0

Moving Comfort's Juno Bra! It's wonderful!0

Try Marshalls or Ross for super-supportive sports bras on a budget. Also try layering them, if you have to.0

Go on Ebay or Amazon.com and search for the Champion Max 360 Sports Bra! They stopped making that exact model, so you can usually get them at a reasonable price! It's amazing. Nothing moves! It's racerback, so you don't have that awkward in the way feeling that you normally get with max sports bras!0

I have been wearing two bras at a time to try to limit movement. I've had some success, but at 44E or whatever, there's only so much I can do to stop the laws of motion here. Like you, I'm on a limited budget, so the fancy shmancy jogging bras are out of my reach. And I'm not convinced they would be much better than what I am doing now.
I hope you find some workable solutions. I know the pain you are talking about and it can just ruin your whole day. :^(0 -
What size? I'm really happy with my Enell sports bras, but they're C cup and above (I'm a G cup). This is the only bra I've ever been able to run or jump in comfortably (at this size), and they really keep things still.
Edit to add: I see you're on a tight budget, but for me, this was totally worth the cost.0 -

what size are you talking? for anything over F I'd recommend shock absorber and panache. anything under i really have no clue0

Cheaper: Try Champion
More expensive: Shock Absorber or Panache
I'm an E cup and all 3 are great and extremely supportive.0 -

Wear two sports bras at a time.0

I invested in two sports bras from Victoria's Secret and they have changed my life. My boobs don't really move at all when I'm working out or jumping or running or anything. I am in love with them! (38DD talking here)0

Me too. But I wear my regular bra under a sports bra. Works great!0 -

Both are great ideas. If I'm even walking at a fast pace, I double up on the bra. It really helps improve my posture, too. Boobs make me slouchy.0 -
I'm 40DD. I've put up with the pain for years but decided no more! I'm not on contraceptives but do have PCOS. I'll start looking at all the recommendations as well as trying two bras and see how I get on.
Thank you for your replies.0 -

The GLA in the oils regulate the hormones so I am hoping that will help. Need to take high doses of EPO or Starflower Oil to get a decent amount of GLA. GPs used to prescribe the oils but not anymore.0 -

The pain is so bad. Even just trying to sleep sometimes is painful.0 -
I just want to point out that you may find sports bras aren't supporting you enough because you aren't buying the right size. I highly recommend going to a specialist (VS reps aren't experts, sorry!) to get sized properly. I've been wearing COMPLETELY the wrong size. Turns out I'm a US 34I/36J and not a US 38DD.0

I haven't been wearing any sports bras as I wasn't exercising until this week. Will go get measured properly first.0 -
I'm DDD - purchased a Wacoal support sports bra at Nordstroms. Paid $60 but worth every penny. I wear it over my regular bra for extra support. No bounce!0

I just purchased a Shock Absorber Ultimate Run Sports bra from Amazon. I only paid $23.70. I sure hope it helps stop my boobs from bouncing.
OP, once you figure out your size, check Amazon to see if they have some of the more expensive sports bras on sale.0
