Fitness tracker with strapless heart rate monitor?

Hi all - this might be a stupid question, but has anyone tried some of the wrist-based fitness trackers that have "strapless" heart rate monitoring? I know there are some out there, but I've heard mixed reviews regarding accuracy.
I do my share of running, where a chest strap works just fine. BUT I also do a lot of HIIT activities, including burpees, dumbell snatches, pushup rows, etc. These require a ton of movement, especially in the lats where that strap would go.
Anyone have any thoughts?

Commenting because I am also interested in strapless heart rate monitors (where would the strap even go, on women? My heart is pretty much covered! Anyone want to develop a flexible heart rate monitor for ladies that clips onto the inside of your bra with me?
).
Also - do you wear the strapless heart monitor only during exercise, or can it give you a somewhat accurate calorie count for the whole day?0
