Hey guys I'm new to this site so hey and hope everyone is well today. So I've been dieting for the last month or so and have so far lost almost 16 pounds. I've been using weight watchers for most of it and last week I was sick and unable to eat. However in the last week or so my weight loss seems to have completely stopped. My start weight was 143 and now I'm 127. It just doesn't seem to be moving from that. I know that weight loss speed seems massive and I agree I have no idea how it happened. With ww I eat on average of 1040 calories a day but mostly haven't been able to eat the requirements. Some days I'm eating below 500 which is not through choice it's through my lifestyle...I work nights and sleep days so I'm all backwards ha. Also my job is v active so maybe that's why. Anyway I was wondering does anyone else have experience with weight loss slowing down lots? I am going on holidays in a week or so and am terrified of putting weoght back on! Any holiday tips? Oh also I'm 5'4.5 in height and my goal weight is somewhere between 120 and 125 pounds.
Thanks everyone

1. Weight loss is not linear. You are going to have weeks without a loss even when you're doing everything perfectly due to the natural fluctuations in your body (water weight, mostly).
2. 500 calories is not healthy. Neither is 1040, really. It's really, really hard to get your nutritional needs in at that level (fat, protein, vitamins, etc.). It's no wonder that you lose weight quickly at your current calorie level. Work on including more calorie dense foods and try to fit more food into your schedule.
3. You probably will gain a little weigh on your vacation. The good news is that this is going to be mostly water weight due to the changes in your routine. It will be temporary and come off quickly when you get back to your normal life.0 -
Well, 1. You're eating way too little. Irregardless of schedule you need to make time to fuel yourself. 16 lbs in a month is ridiculously fast given your starting weight. Like, ideally the weight loss is around 1 lb a week loss at your stats. Weight loss is not linear, maybe you're retaining water. You are 2-5 lbs away from goal. Take a deep breath and stop racing.0

Thanks for the advice guys. I know i need to eat more, it's just hard as I have v little appetite on my schedule and I know it's no excuse I suppose I'll try to increase my calories bit by bit so as not to shock the body :P. 1040 is an estimate and it's what I was told to eat on ww along with an addition 2000 calories a week to use on whatever I like. If I stay some ways healthy on hols the gain might not be too bad but pizza and cocktails are hard to say no too :P
Thanks again for yer help0
