I need to buy a scale, any advice

Hello members of the MFP world,

I need to buy a new scale. Weighing in approx. once a week is a big motivating factor to me, keeps me on goal, and pushes me to strive for progress. So a good scale is an awesome tool for me to have. That being said, I'm on a poor college student budget and looking at the stores some scales are crazy expensive (in terms of my disposable income at least). But, I also don't want to waste my money on an inexpensive, inaccurate piece of garbage. Anyone out that love the scale they have at home, didn't pay an arm and a leg for it, and would recommend it? Thanks y'all!

  • Fellow broke college student here.

I finally broke down and with my new paycheck spent 30 bucks (hooray for free prime with student email!) on this scale: http://www.amazon.com/EatSmart-Precision-Bathroom-Capacity-Technology/dp/B001KXZ808/ref=zg_bs_85968011_1

It's the number one best seller, and I haven't seen any completely wild fluctuations, and I've been weighing myself every two hours or so because I have a scale and its weirdly fun to watch my weight go up and down throughout the day. But if I weigh myself twice in a short period (say five or ten minutes) there's literally no change unlike what I've heard with some scales. It is also allegedly "on sale", but I'm half certain Amazon makes those things up so we'll buy from them lol.

Also for now it also comes shipped with a free body tape measure! And it comes with batteries. If/when you order it both of those things are tucked in the Styrofoam - I spent a good five minutes shaking the box looking for them haha.
