Newbie

Hi everyone!

I'm joining this site because I've reached a point in my life where I'm unhappy with the way I look and feel now, and also realize that I sit on my rear end all day at a desk job. I used to be in the same position years ago in my early 20's, but managed to keep up the motivation to eat healthy and exercise consistently. Now, I'm 35 and really need to start thinking about taking better care of myself.

I've started working out, I'm following a program I found online. So far I'm enjoying it, it's just a matter of keeping up with it. I'm still working out this whole food thing.

My goals are to eat better, to use food as a fuel for my body instead of using it to eat mindlessly. I also want to drink more water, cut out the beer consumption, and do more to improve my overall health and well-being.

I look forward to meeting some friends!

    It is never too late to get healthy and fit. Lots of nice supportive people here. Make sure you enter everything in your food diary and leave it open for friends to see. That is how we can help. I'm older and in a different struggle but maybe we can encourage and help each other. I would be happy to be your friend! Add me if you like. Deb
  • Hi i'm Cortney my starting weight of a while ago was 174 that was my hihest ever!!!!! i am now (last time i was weighed) down to 157.8 :blushing: it is making me really happy. i honestly do like working out mostly because i have volleyball as my cardio!!!! :heart: anyways i am really trying to work on getting my fruits and veggies because i have been slacking lately!! all i know is that with God we can do everything and anything and that WE CAN DO IT :happy:
