Hiya
What would people say should be your daily carb and sugar intake for someone trying to lose weight? I know it can really affect weightloss.

Try this calculator: http://iifym.com/iifym-calculator/0

If you normally ate say 1800 cals with 1000 from carbs then dropping to 1300 cals to lose weight with 500 from carbs would be one approach - 125g carbs, 75g protein and 56g of fat.
Sugar at 10% of energy would be 130 cals or 32.5g per day, as an example.0 -
It can only affect weight loss if you have issues with insulin… diabetes, insulin resistance, PCOS, etc.
Otherwise, use the calculator provided in the post above to find out how many carbs a person your size should consume daily.0 -

I have mine set at 25% 94g. But basically I try to stay 50-95g0

Oh, I ate about 200g in weight loss. At 2300 calories and 300g+ carbs I can still lose weight if my activity level puts me in a deficit.
Eat at a moderate deficit. Focus on hitting your minimum protein, fats, fiber and let carbs fall where they may. Unless you have a medical condition, there's really no need to fret, like others have said0
