I'm needing some friends that can me on track as I just started a journey of losing 70 pounds or so. My goal also is to get back into a gym and contiune my walking that I do on daily basis. I always seem to find a way not to either wanna work out or not log food and I'm tired of living that way and I now it's not healthy at all. Please feel free to add me as a friend and we can do this journey together.

    Me! That is SO me!

I tend to find if I'm not held accountable by someone...I slack off. I want/need to lose about 80lbs (I'm 254 now) and I'm starting again...slowly. Would love to have someone to hold me accountable and help someone else!

Hi! My name is Emma; I've been actively using MFP for 2 months, and have lost almost 20 pounds.

I resisted food logging for a *long* time (and had some mystery health issues that packed on 20 pounds); to be "healthy" I need to lose about 70 more.

Food logging was one of the biggest positive changes.

Taking in 50 calories a day more than you burn can lead to gaining a pound in about 10 weeks. That's 5 pounds a year.

For me, a certain number of my packed on pounds came from overindulgence in 50 calorie tea biscuits. It wasn't until I started logging my food that I admitted to myself how big a deal those tea biscuits are.

Also, don't think of this as "losing 70 pounds". If it's not a change in how you think about food and a willingness to go to extra effort to make certain you have healthy choices available, your progress can only go so far.

    I'm right there with you!

I joined MFP a couple months ago with one of my friends who said she was serious about losing the weight (I still need to lose about 75lbs..ugh  ) and after we joined, she hasn't logged on since... Guess she's not honestly ready to start. So, I've been plugging away at it by myself, I'm doing well but would definitly welcome people who are in the same situation and would like to keep each other motivated. Feel free to sent me a request!
