Every year I have the same goal....lose weight. The first 4-6 months I'm pretty successful....get 5lbs from my goal weight (I have never reached) I get close and feel like I can get there so I give up. I drastically change my eating habits and exercise like crazy so when I stop...it all comes back on. It's just me and my 2 boys all week and I've never been one to cook much and getting to the gym has been a challenge. I work 40+ hrs a week and love going to the gym, but I've been getting off work late and immediately have to get the kids and come home to be a mom.
I know there are millions of others with this same situation...how do you keep the weight off? I need all the advice I can get!

I just lost some weight so I haven't actually kept it off for any length of time yet. So, my advice might be premature. But, the best advice I was given was to lose the weight in a way that you can keep doing. So, no crash diets or crazy work-outs or weird foods. If you can't make it a part of your normal, every-day life, then you can lose it, but it is difficult to maintain.

I realize this is much easier said than done, believe me, but I think it is sound advice.

    Good Luck!!!

To keep the weight off, i definitely suggest weight lifting. Weight lifting makes your body stay in the shape it's in after doing those crazy exercise workouts. Your metabolism will be higher and keeping the weight off is easier. Eating habits are a big contributer too, but making sure you lower your calorie intake when you don't exercise will make all the difference. good luck!
