Is there added sugar in tomato paste? Or is the sugar natural? I don't know if it is considered "processed" or not. Can anyone help???

Look at the ingedients. If sugar is added, it will be listed there. :)
  • Mostly natural sugar, although there is a small amount of added sugar in tomato paste.

if it's in the ingredient list then it's added refined sugar - aka bad!
  • look at the list of rhats in it if it says sugar on it . then it is not natural suger from the tomatoes
  • Usually Tomato Paste is tomatoes only. If the label says sugars in the carb section, it is naturally occurring sugar.

It says, Ingredients: Tomato Paste, Salt, Spices, Natural Flavors, Citric Acid. So, wasn't sur. It doesn't say on the front, no sugar added...but WAIT...it does say:

Free of artificial ingredients and preservatives. So this means unprocessed and free of added sugar right???

Yes, in the carbs section, it says 6g carbs, 4g sugar, 2g fiber. Thank you!
