Grams vs Tablespoons?

A lot of the measurements of the foods I'm searching give me the measurement in gram instead of tablespoons or teaspoons. Is there any way to know how to convert this?

    a gram is a weight, tablespoon a volume. A tablespoon (15 ml) of water weighs 15 grams. A tablespoon of solids it depends on the density.

    No. They're different units of measure. Just like you can't convert feet (measure of distance or length) into grams (weight).

    This would be much less confusing if we didn't have one word with two different measure definitions. "Ounce" can describe a unit of weight, or a unit of volume: but they're not interchangeable. I imagine that is why packaging gives weight in grams. It kind of has a universal meaning.

    You'd be much better off measuring your food by weight (grams) anyway - it's substantially more accurate. A food scale is like a $10 investment at Wal Mart.
