Any 50ish year olds out there struggling to stay in shape?

Hi, Steve here trying to give MFP another shot.

I am looking for other 40 to 50ish folks who are struggling to loose those last 10-20 pounds or trying to figure out what fitness plan works for them. A couple of years ago, I realized one goal - of running a half-marathon. But, in the last year or so, the old knee just does not let me consistently train to run the 10-20 miles a week I need to give it another go. I have switched to the stationary bike and eliptical but just can't seem to get the satisfaction of a good old 5k run.

So, looking for partners in crime as I try to stay ahead of father-time and reclaim and maintain my "girlish figure"

Hi! I've just turned 58 and after two surgeries affecting hormone levels, am finally having success! I think our bodies slow down but I'm going to continue to counter-act Mother Nature and prove no matter our age - we can be successful!!! Feel free to add me as a friend. (Melinda)
