Everyday, I do the hoover, this takes about 25-30 minutes, I also walk an hour everyday. And I jog/run 5-10 minutes 3 times a week...
Would you consider this the equivalent of exercising 3 times a week?

It depends on what you are trying to accomplish, and what your current state of fitness is.0

Hmm.. how tough do you find it? If you do all that but don't feel a thing, I wouldn't count it. But if you get sweaty and feel a bit of increase in your heart rate, I think it would count as 3 exercises a week.0

The hoover and walking get my heart rate up, but I don't really get THAT sweaty...
but when I jog/run, I sweat like a pig :P0 -

Do you have your activity level set at 'sedimentary'?0 -
The jog/run yes - the walking yes, if it's not walking to work. If it is, it and the hoovering are considered part of your daily routine and built into you calorie amount.0

Sedimentary? Is that where you don't move very much, but bits of you blow away if there is wind or water?0 -
Why are you asking is my question? Are you going off of "they say it's healthy to work out at least 3-4 days a week" and trying to seek validation?
Exercise is good for one's general health so anything that gets you off your butt is going to be benefitual. Even if you only got in 10,000 steps a day you are well on the road to helping improve your health. 5-10 minutes of light jogging is ok, but seems hardly note worthy. Why not try to do at least 30-45 minutes and get your heart pumping.
So what are your goals? Weight loss? Outside of health benefits of regular exercsie, anything that gets you off your butt will burn calories, the more you burn the more calories you'll have.0 -

I genuinely lolled...
But no, vacuuming is not exercise. It's part of the daily life of an adult who clears up after themselves (or hasn't tricked someone else into doing it for them...)0 -
Oh, okay. Thanks for your help. I guess I'll jog/run more0

Walking and running are counted as calorie burns, not vacuuming.0 -
wait, hoovering is vacuuming?
It meant something COMPLETELY different in college.0 -
Exercise should be at a moderate intensity... meaning your heart rate increases above resting. If it's a casual stroll... no. If you are hauling butt, then yes. Intensity is a big part of the equation.0

If you have your activity level set to sedentary then count the jogging and the walking. Walking is exercise, so I don't know why you wouldn't count it. As far as it being 3 days a week idk why ask that either. If you walk an hour everyday then input an hour of walking every day. Get an HRM to insert calories burned from walking and jogging. Not vacuuming.
ETA: exercise is not only moderate intensity. As long as your heart rate is increased you are working out.0
