Can you 'hike' in the city?

Hi all,
I have rather a random question.........
One of my walking routes I use is really hilly and I was wondering if anyone else would class this as a hike rather than a walk. I don't usually have a backpack on my walks but I do have my silver cross pram, a 20lb baby and a nappy bag with me most times! I cant afford a heart rate monitor, even a cheap one off ebay is out of my budget so I have been logging as walking 3.5mph for hilly walks and 3mph for flatter walks, but saw an option to log as hiking the other day.
Any thoughts or advice on this welcome as long as its friendly.
Thanks in advance xx

There are also options in the database to exercise carrying different loads; I know there's one "Walking - carrying 25 - 50lb load," because I use it.

If you choose to call it hiking, there shouldn't be a major issue with that, either.

I'll have a look at all my options, I'm still quite new to all this.
    Thankyou x
