By at least 300-400 calories, and I'm not even hungry. Should I try to eat more, or is it good that I'm so under? Some days, I don't even eat 1,000 calories.

  • I am too..i never eat more than about 800 calories but i feel fine and am loosing weight so i think it's ok, and because i have saturday's off (i have nice things, but in moderation) i think it probably balances out @ the end of the week...if it works for you i say keep eating as you are..so far it's worked for me!

I think as long as you are eating healthy foods and getting the proper nutrition in your body you'll be fine. One thought though is are you conditoning yourself to eat like this once you reach your goal weight or will you go back to old habits?

Another thing to note: In the first week or two, some people get ravenous, others don't feel hungry at all. I was in the latter category - I had to force myself to eat, because I wasn't used to eating on a regular schedule and didn't get the "normal" cues from my body on when/how much to eat. My body (and brain) had to be retrained. After the first week, my appetite picked up a lot and now I don't generally have trouble meeting my goals.

LauraLLee, this is how I've always eaten. I'm eating the same amount. I've just been trying to eat healthier. So there's no "old habits".
