Toning and losing my back?

Hi,
Haven't been on for ages but lost 8lbs doing a mixture of zumba and slim in 6 express. Not stuck to them religiously, but at least a few times a week. It's worked. I'm careful with what I eat and cut back on a few bits here and there. Not so obsessed if I go over my limit as I know I can burn them off.
I had my dress fitting today, 6 months after I ordered it, and I still have a problem with my back. I'm a classic hour-glass figure, however, my back is an issue as there's an inch gap where the lacing doesn't quite cover up. The next size up would mean far too much taking in. Any ideas what I can do? I had De Quervain's corrective surgery last September, but still can't grip/put pressure on/ lift heavy weights with my right hand.
Any ideas?

Back extensions? You could maybe put some weight round your neck, instead of holding it, later. And hyper extensions (weight round your feet later). Glute ham raises (I needed to use bands for assistance with these).
That's all I can think of with no hands. Though those aren't going to help if it's fat you carry there - that'll just do as it pleases. Might be worth getting the bigger one taken in if it's going to look better.0 -
Google "spot reduction myth".
To lose fat, no matter where it's at, get into a calorie deficit.
Did your doctor say when you'd have normal use of your hand?0 -
I run on a calorie deficit but could make it stricter.
The surgery wasn't greatly successful, so I'm left with good days and bad. I can manage light weights, a few lbs here and there, but only for very short periods of time.0
