Calories help?

I've been slacking these last few days and have decided to get back on the wagon. But I'm still uncertain of how many calories I burn daily. Maybe you can help.

I am a female, 5'1" and 144 lbs. I live a pretty sedentary lifestyle; I go on walks maybe 2 times a week.

How many calories do I burn each day and how many should I eat to lose 1-2 lbs a week?

    I did, but it says I have to eat 1200 calories a day to lose. I'm just wondering how much I actually burn per day.

    Change lose to maintain and it will give you a fairly good estimate

    At your weight you should probably just try to lose .5 lb a week. The 1200 number won't make you lose 2 lbs per week - it's just the minimum MFP will give you. At your weight I suspect you'll start seeing the 1200 number when you tell MFP you want to lose 1 lb per week or more
