5 Minute Chocolate "Mug" Cake
Someone had posted they wish they could just make 1 of something to enjoy and be done.
I came across this recipe that came from my mum years ago. As I recall it was OK and would do in a pinch if needing something sweet.
Now I would not say these are diet recipes but probably could be less bad if you got creative.
Thought I would share. There are 2 varieties here, plain chocolate and a PB & Chocolate.
If you don't like, delete works great.
5 Minute Cake
The Most Dangerous Chocolate Cake Recipe in the World
''5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE''
1 Coffee Mug
4 tablespoons flour(that's plain flour, not self-rising)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional) some nuts (optional)
Small splash of vanilla
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well . Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes on high.
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. EAT!
(this can serve 2 if you want to share!)
And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time
of the day or night!
''Peanut Butter and Chocolate 5-Minute Cake''
Ingredients:
4 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
3 Tablespoons sugar
2 Tablespoons peanut butter (add more if you want!)
1/8 Teaspoon baking powder
1 Egg white
4 Tablespoons milk (or soy milk)
1 Tablespoon vegetable oil (or unsweetened applesauce)
1/4 Teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 Cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips.
1 Microwave-safe bowl or mug
Instructions:
Mix flour, sugar and baking powder
Mix in egg white
Add in milk, peanut butter, oil and vanilla, and mix well
Put in microwave for 2.5 minutes (add 30 sec if necessary) on maximum power
Wait until it stops rising and sets in the bowl/mug

Hi All,
I have another delicious chocolate cake recipe for you. It works out just over 200 calories per serve. It makes a whole cake though.
Low Fat Chocolate Fudge Cake
85 grams Dark eating chocolate, chopped finely
1/2 cup (50g) Cocoa powder
1 cup (200g) y packed brown sugar
1/2 cup (125 mls) boiling water
2 Egg yolks
1/4 cup (30g) Almond meal
1/3 cup (50g) wholemeal plain flour
4 egg whites
Preheat oven to moderate (180 degrees celcius) Line base and side of deep 20 centimeter round cake pan with baking paper.
Combine chocolate, cocoa and sugar with the water in a large bowl; stir until smooth.
Add egg yolks; whisk to combine.
Fold in almond meal and flour.
Beat egg whites in small bowl with electric mixer until firm peaks form.
Gently fold egg whites into chocolate mixture, in two batches.
pour into prepared pan.
Bake for 40 minutes.
Stand in pan for 5 minutes and then turn out onto wire rack and remove paper.
Serve this cake warm dusted with icing sugar.
Serves 8 people.

Did you leave out baking powder in the first recipe? How does it rise with no soda or powder? I think if you use applesauce in place of the oil and maybe some agave in place of some of the sugar it would help make it healthier. I'm going to try it with spelt flour to see if i can make it gluten free.0

Yes you are right I had to check for myself!! I didn't believe it could have that many calories but I checked with the individual ingredients too and it came to 970 calories!!! that's almost my entire daily value!!0 -
