MFP Suggested Calories

Hi
MFP recommended me taking in 1200 calories with no exercise .... I tried that and lost weight but ended up being hungry all the time... so i stopped and gained back quit a bit of weight.... i don't think it would be that big of a deal at 1200 if i liked more veggies ... so i bumped it up to 1400 and it makes a big difference i'm slowly trying to try new veggies and do it the right way this time...

so my question is will i loose weight with adding the extra calories? I plan on getting back to the gym soon once i start getting a little energy back...

If you go to the gym daily, you'll have more energy. Don't wait until you have it. Going there gives it to you. Just go. Your energy level will increase.

If you're too hungry on 1200, eat more and exercise more to make up for it.

It is a lot easier to lose weight if you feel full. Eating fruits and veggies helps immensely. You can eat lots and lots for very few calories.

I have been to the gym i used to go all the time so i know I'm too tired to make it through right now
i tried the whole jumping in and trying to eat really healthy ... and a whole bunch of veggies just got wasted in the fridge cause it just got to overwhelming for me ... so I'm doing it slow and steady right now and eating the ones i do like

no activity and working out 3 days a weeks for 60 min
and 2 lbs a week but it wont let me do that cause the lowest it recommends is 1200 cal so it is at 1.2lbs a week

I knew I could never live on just eating 1200 calories a day and that's one of the reasons I really started to exercise. If you burn 400 calories a day working out, then you can really eat 1600 calories a day and still have the same net amount as if you just ate 1200 and didn't work out. And you will still lose weight. I know i'm much more likely to be able to add exercise than to cut back too much on food, but that's just me.

Unless you are confined to a bed or wheelchair then you are at least "Lightly Active". With about 67 lbs. to lose, 2 lbs. a week is too aggressive because you are still hungry. You do not have to be hungry to lose weight. Change it to 1.5 lbs. per week. Add your exercise and eat back about half of those calories, too. Make sure you are meeting your macros with dietary fat, protein, and fiber.
