My fitness journey so far (pics people :p)

Before i made the decision to change my life around, I was depressed. Never wanted to get up or do ANYTHING. Loved ones around me would always try to help, and one thing they'd suggest would be exercise. I always turned them down, saying 'I hate exercise. How will doing something I hate make me happy?" I spent years trying to hide my size with slim suits and flowy shirts and eventually i'd feel better, but then I'd catch a glance at a picture someone took of me. I never even considered weight loss an option. But then one day, I woke up. Really woke up, for the first time in my life. My depression had landed me in the ICU for a little over a week after an attempt at suicide. It wasn't until a few years later that I realized i DID wanna take care of myself, both physically and mentally. I WAS worth something, and i had all the control when it came to making myself feel better and look better. So i dropped the negativity, dropped the excuses and picked up a banana instead of a large order of royal farms fries with cheese and saw results. Lost 50lbs over the course of 5-6 months. Shortly after, I understood what everyone meant when they said 'its a journey.' I fell off the wagon and gained back almost 35 pounds. Now i'm back down to -36. Learning about myself more and more every day.
If you think you're too depressed to get fit, you're wrong. Without medication I have been able to control my symptoms and feel better than ever. You CAN do this. I was the most unmotivated person on the earth before I just dropped the excuses and gave it my all. Just take that first step. Committing to a healthy lifestyle is hard. Being overweight is hard. Pick your hard.
