yooooooo. looking for a fitness tracker....maybe?

helooooooooooo. so i am lookign for a fitness tracker. i dont wear alot of jewelry being a man, but a bracelet is whatever. i will live. i cant decide if i want to be able to monitor NOW like on a screen or just scope out at the end of the day. i kind of want some of both ends. are these worth the hundred plus bucks? i am not full of money and am cheap as ****. but if spending a little cash gets me in the mood to go, than sure. why not. i spent all night online and at best buy...i was already there lol. i looked at the different kinds. and also, i have an android phone, no iphone. i guess that matters.

WANTS

i want something i never have to take off including bed and shower
sleep tracking. have terrible sleep apnea and have been working on it for a few years
distance tracker
auto pick up difference between running, walking, biking, climbing.
constant heart rate monitor that uses MY heart rate and body levels to give accurate cal and stuff counting . or one that takes it every so often or whatever.

DONT WANT

big *kitten* heavy clunky bull****
dont care about stair climbing tracking
dont want something i ONLY wear during fitness, i will forget to put it on.

anyone who has anything please share. thanks.

I had a body media core. There was no distance tracker, It broke right after the 1 year warranty ended and I had it deactivated for 4 months of that. It was clunky to wear on the arm. The plastic on the arm band also broke and the usb cord had to be replaced. $6.95 per month. I would say it should be on your NO list. I just that I would put that out there.

My opinion, they’re a waste of money. What can you really use it for? If you’re sitting on your @ss, you already know it. People I know that use them, use them as an excuse to eat more. Nope. NEAT calories are good for offsetting your low food calorie estimates. Don’t waste your money.

I wear a Polar Loop 24x7 (with the exception of my weekly recharging/synchronizing with the computer). The heart monitor is an extra expense though, and not really intended for 24x7 wear. It's something I have to strap on before working out. But, the built in pedometer on the Loop seems to notice when my pace quickens and accounts for the additional burn in my total daily calorie expenditure. The sleep tracker gives feedback on total hours laying down vs. restful sleep. When paired with the iPhone, it will send you alerts to let you know if you sit too long. I have found it to be a great motivator and really convenient since I don't have to take it off until it starts whining to be charged (7-10 days).

There is a new sensor that just came out called the Angel: http://store.angelsensor.com/products/angel-sensor-wristband-for-health-and-fitness. It tracks so much more, without additional strap ons and such. Total nerdgasm.

I've had the opposite experience with the BodyMedia Fit. It's awesome, have had no problems, have accidentally hopped in the shower with it, and love it. You get used to having it on your arm and I often forget it's there.
It doesn't track distance, but picks up light vs heavy exercise, tracks steps (no stairs like FitBit) tracks sleep, syncs with MFP, uses your your body temperature, your sweat levels, and your heat output to calculate your calories, so it's based on your actual skin vs a fitbit that just slips into your pocket or whatever to track steps and make an educated guess about calorie burns... and you throw in the wash... haha. You can also sync it via BlueTooth to your phone to get real-time readings, including tracking workouts.

Edit: here's what the online dashboard looks like: http://www.bodymedia.com/activity_manager_demo.html
