16, eating 1200 cal/day & NOT losing weight! PLEASE HELP ME

Hi. I have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember. I have lost weight 2 times in my life. When I was 12, I lost 30 lbs. and when I was 15, I lost about 25. I am now 16 & 1/2 and cannot lose weight. I started in March by counting my weight watcher points (26 points a day). I did not lose any weight. I figured it was because the 26 points a day were equivalent to about 800 calories a day and that was too little calories for me to be consuming a day. Then in May, I started eating 1200 calories a day using my fitness pal. I'm sitting here in August and have NOT lost any weight. I weigh 168 lbs and am 5'4. I don't understand how I am not losing weight. From May until August, there have been a few days mixed in where I don't count my calories like birthdays, etc. However, on a daily basis I am not exaggerating when I say I NEVER eat over 1200 calories. I never eat after 7 pm. and weigh EVERYTHING I eat. I just don't know what to do. I am trying so hard to lose weight and nothing is coming off. I don't know what I could be doing wrong. Someone please help me. Quick recap: 16, 5'4, 168 lbs, 1200 cal/day and NOT LOSING WEIGHT.

Thanks in advance for your help. I'm losing hope in that I could ever lose weight again.

Why are you counting calories at age 16?

Just eat healthy stuff and do some exercise. Don't bother yourself yet. Your body is still growing so yeah
  • I apologize in advance, because this comment isn't going to be very helpful. Just wanted to say, I'm here for you, experiencing a similar situation, and would love to figure this out! The only thing I can think is to start exercising to create a bigger calorie deficit if you don't already. Also, I don't know what kind of food you're eating, but maybe you can eat really high quality foods and incorporate more fruits and especially vegetables into those 1200 calories. Just some ideas, I hope you figure it out!
