hi all, im new here and just wanted to say hi. Currently my weight is 113.5kg and looking at dropping a few stone to look and feel better- every journey starts with a single step.
Truth is i have let my body slide into the habits of being lazy, drinking too much coffee and ultimately bad foods!!!
I didnt make a new years resolution because i know i would quit it as soon as i got bored, instead i have seen the light and decided to get healthier for me, the kids and the wife. My fitness level is shockingly low and so started walking a couple of miles a day instead (tracked by runkeeper pro) and am currently using both applications side by side, Its making a huge difference!!!
So i am currently on day 3 and all is well at the moment so any advice you can offer is greatly appreciated, im currently having about 250-300 calories under my daily target so all is well

Hi sdoherty1000!
I am also using the same apps as you and have been for some time, I find them a great help, especially runkeeper pro! Its done wonders for my self esteem and confidence whilst trying to train for a 10K run I have put myself in for.
I completely agree with you comment 'every journey starts with a single step'. I too used to be 110kg, so I know how you feel. Now after 3 months I am down to100kg, just through using runkeeper as my motivation tool, to allow myself to see that I am getter fitter and more active!!
Keep up the great work, you'll get there!!0 -
cheers guys for the kind words, I wont be running a marathon anytime soon but who knows where ill be in a few months time
