Headaches from sweeteners?

Hi All
I had a brain haemorrhage 7 years ago and since this time I have suffered with headaches, these are usually manageable. A couple of years ago my headaches became really bad and I changed some things in my diet. I felt that it may have been sweeteners that had increased my headaches as after I stopped having them they reduced. Now recently I have been eating cleanly and part of this they encourage me to have some protein powder... however 2 weeks down the road and I can feel the headaches getting worst. Looking at the 2 powders I have they have sweeteners in it... these are 100% gold standard whey and impact whey protein! I am therefore trying to look for any protein powders that do not have any artificial sweeteners in it! I have heard of some that have stevia in it and they say this is a natural sweetener... however im still feeling nervous about trying it! The other things I have recently bought is vitafibre which says the ingredients is Isomalto-oligosaccharide and bounce natural protein balls. I am not sure if either of those have artificial sweeteners in it but I do know that the bounce balls do have whey in it so I am guessing it does? Any advice anyone can give me I will appreciate it!
Thanks

Some sweeteners, including Stevia, seem to give me headaches, while others don't. I'd recommend trying to find an unsweetened protein powder, just to be safe, unless you know for sure which sweeteners are okay for you to have. Whey protein doesn't always have artificial sweetener, it just depends on the brand.0

Thanks for that and as I dont know which one gives me the headaches then the best thing I can do is go for ones without sweeteners! Do you or anybody else know of any nice ones that dont have any sweeteners in it?0

I like the Isopure unflavored whey protein isolate, but I definitely had to mix it with milk, and usually a little bit of chocolate syrup to make it drinkable. It would work in things like smoothies, but it's not something I could drink with just water. (I tried once. It was horrifying).0

I will have a look at that one thanks0
