hello
i was just curious
is it better to do weights in the morning like 8 am (and a little warming up of course ej. eliptical)
and then cardio, gooing out for a run in the evening not too late like at 7pm?
or would it be better the other way around?
and what weight exercises do you do/recommend?
what is your routine?
how many rest days a week? i think 2 is fine
also do you take whey protein after or before workouts and how many a day?

if you're in a calorie deficit, you'll lose weight.
whats your reasoning for working out twice a day? are you training for a specific event? if not theres not really any need to... i would go with 2 or 3x cardio and 2 or 3 x strength with a rest day or 2 per week.
Im training for a 10k at the moment, so my week is 2 runs, one other cardio day, 2 x full body strength training, a stretching day (usually yoga) and a rest day. i aim to get 30% of my cals from protein, which is usually at least 120g per day. i use protein shakes a couple of times a week if i cant hit my goal with normal food.
if you're getting 0.8g per lb of bodyweight that should be 'enough' protein.0 -
There is no set rule and the is no one works better then the other - set your own goals and find what's best for you.
Supplements are not necessary at this stage - eat real food.0 -
i just have a lot of free time so thats why i work out twice a day :P0

I find it easier to lift weights first then do cardio later when I do 2 a days. It's just what works for me. Some friends of mine will get up early and run though then do weights in the afternoon. Whatever works for you.0

No sure if there is any research around what works better. In the past(I am starting all over again) I had to do weights in the evening after a solid day of fuelling up because I went heavy and would get light headed, running I could easily do in the morning.0
