quest bars for weight loss

I am trying to lose about 8 pounds. I workout pretty much every day (either running or lifting at the gym). I just bought QuestBars and i was wondering if they help with losing weight. I know they aren't magic, but will eating them as a meal replacement once a day help with weight loss?

Even two bars is not a meal, so yes, calorie deficit will drive weight loss.0

calorie deficit equals weight Loss. Quest bars do not mean that you'll lose weight. Eat at a deficit, whatever food you want, and you'll lose.0

Protein bar as a sole replacement for meal. I do not know about that but that sounds unhealthy. You should eat a healthy balanced diet instead of protein bar: eat vegetable, lean meat, and some fruit. It will benefit you more to eat a real meal. I never use protein bars or shakes as a meal replacement. I only use them before and after work outs. However, it is your own body and you can eat what you decide to eat. People may have different opinions on what I have but that's cool though. I accept different point of views.0

I've never understood 'Meal Replacement' .... if you're eating .. you're eating.... You can get your energy from Meat, veggies, etc..... or 'bars' - what does it matter?
Seems to me it;s a marketing ploy ...... "hey eat this product ... it has less energy that your normal 'meal ..... and I make money" OR you could eat a smaller version of your normal meal ... which would actually cost you LESS than normal .. :huh:0 -
Noooo! Have them as a snack. You'd be better having a salad for a meal - probably work out as less calories, and it is actually you making a meal!0

They are good for putting in pools to fool bystanders.0

I eat 3 meals a day and 2 snacks. I usually eat quest bars as my snacks. Better then the 2 cups of coffee with creamer that I used to have. 160 to 180 calories of protein and fiber has to be better then 180 calories of caffine no protein and no fiber lol0
