No excuses! I'm coming back!

Between November 2011 and July 2012 I lost 70 pounds with Zumba and MFP, I got pregnant, gained 40 and I've been "stuck" at this weight for about 16 months...When I say "stuck" I mean, I haven't given it my all, used my daughter, now a toddler as a really adorable, but poor excuse! I'm about 100 lbs over where I want to be and I want to feel STRONG! I recently started a boot camp two days a week and I am starting to wean myself off of all the bad food that makes me FEEL bad! Looking for POSITIVE, like minded friends! I have HASHIMOTOS and Hyperinsulinemia and have met too many people who say they CAN'T lose because of it, I do NOT agree. Looking for inspiration, advice and friends who don't starve themselves to lose!

I lost about a hundred pounds and have put on 50 of them since my father has been sick. I understand trying to stay motivated. I am actually training for the Susan G. Komen 3 Day 60 Mile Walk (my fourth time walking) so that is actually getting me out of the house. I keep thinking about how good and powerful I felt as a woman when I was working out and in shape. That's what I am shooting for again. Fingers crossed - I started a boot camp yesterday morning and I'm doing my training walks so I'm hoping that keeps me on track. Wishing you the best in your workout! :)

I'm a mom with a 3 year old and one year old and have been using them for excuses. I've lost 30 since I came back on MFP in February (ticker shows 20 because I had gained back what I lost + 10lbs and I didn't feel the need to reset it). I still have 45lbs to go. Send me a friend request if you like.

If you lost it once, you can lose it every time. I see zumba for fun and a little more activity than none, but lifting weights create muscles that burn more calories while you are at rest. Lift weights. Start with just your body weight for a couple weeks and then start adding resistance. Perform cardio in between. And as always, weight loss is majority of how you eat. Stay on top of that.

Congrats, on taking the initial step to reach your goal! In my opinion the first step is always the hardest, so kudos!! I was overweight all my life and continued to balloon after my last pregnancy and then used excuses. One day I decided to kick the excuses to the curb and now I'm in better shape than I've ever been. Something that helps me is now I look at my kids as motivation... to keep going... they'll be sitting on the couch watching me workout. My oldest will even cheer me on. I love that. :) I'm trying to lead by example.
Best of luck on your journey! Feel free to friend me. I try to log-in on MFP daily!

I hit my 30 pound loss yesterday, my ticker is wrong. I found out from my Dr. About the hyperinsulinemia. I'm very low carbs and high protein and sodium and the weight is melting off. Congrats on the loss.
