    Another Canadian over here
  • Ive been running 3 days a week for the past year and have just started to incorperate muscle work. I have lost 50lbs so far but have 15 more to lose. Its been a pain to get off so I figured I should log my calories to see if I can shed the last bit :)

Oh, I thought you said "motivational bodies" and I was thinking "me too". Sorry. I don't have one of those but I'll let you know if I find one.

That's really good...how often do you actually go to the gym aside from running? And how far/fast do you run? And I have been in your situation before as well it was a pain for me to get my weight off, but I got through it, and was able to maintain, and counting calories is a great thing to do especially if your trying to shed off your last bit of weight. In my opinion I don't know if you want to take it or not, but try to incorporate some HIIT Exercises. I would say workout everyday when some days is for muscle work+cardio, some days cardio only (walking, jogging, running, HIIT). If you do HIIT exercises that will keep burning fat well after your workout, but still maintain what you eat though don't just go out and eat whatever you want. If you want some advice on some good Interval training just hit me up.

I dont actually go to a gym, I have a home gym set up which I use a couple times a week. I usually run between 5 and 8 km. Thanks for the advise, I have heard HIIT is good for weightloss!
  • And I would love any ideas for interval training you could give me :)

Whoo I definitely don't run as long as you do I just run 1.5-2 miles a day as fast as I can lol I actually just did my cardio only day today ran 1.5 miles in 9:30. That's great tbh HIIT Exercises can definitely be done at home especially if you have a treadmill. What got me started on HIIT was this website http://www.mensfitness.com/training/cardio/8-amazing-fat-burning-intervals ever since then I have been reading up on some more interval exercises, and I have definitely seen improvement in a little over a week. I would recommend for a Interval training is doing Tabata's. That's when you do 20 seconds of work 10 seconds of rest and move on to the next exercise immediately then after you have gone through the circuit once you rest for 2 minutes and do the circuit all over again minimum at least 3 rounds of it at most 10 for the last workout of each round I would incorporate a cardio exercise such as incline sprints on the treadmill. So while your in your 10 second rest incline your treadmill and set it to high speed jump on and sprint then jump off on the sides *HOLDING THE RAILS* then rest and move onto round two. Those exercises will definitely kick your *kitten* though, but at the end of it you will have felt so accomplished. Just make sure you are getting in your post workout protein (Shake, chicken, etc)
