Will progesterone cream hinder maintaining my weight?

I guess my real question is if progesterone cream mimics pregnancy symptoms. I've been using it for almost 2 weeks now and since then I've had days where I can't possibly function due to the exhaustion. Also, I just started getting oddly huge and gross pimples (I've never been one to break out due to my period or anything like that). ANYWAY, I'm wondering if anyone has used progesterone cream and had the same problems...and if weight gain is a possible issue. I started using it because I heard it helps with PMS symptoms, but so far I don't think it's worth it.

Have you checked if there's a group for PMS on MFP? It might be an idea to post your concern within the group. Also, if your GP didn't prescribe the medication, then I wouldn't recommend it. Who on earth would wan't to give the body the false impression that it was pregnant? Catch yourself on!

This is not something progesterone will help you with. I would speak to a doctor because this hormone can cause some changes to your menstral cycle (and that could cause additional adverse effects for some women). Just hearing that something will do something doesn't make it truth (if that person isn't a reputable person with proof documentation, of course).
