MFP setup correct?

Hello I just signed up today. I filled out the info, I am 5'9 220 pounds. I'm not very active at the moment due to some back issues that will hopefully be resolved shortly. But I do walk a mile every morning and then mainly sit for the rest of the day. It tells me my goal calories is 1800, does this seem right?

Also unrelated to my calorie counter, should I be watching my carbs? Back when I was 180lbs and I wanted to cut down a bit for a summer so I went on a low carb diet. I lost a few pounds (5-6) but as soon as I stopped I gained the few pounds back. So should I only be counting calories or should I keep an eye on my carbs as well?
