So, it's been quite a year personally and on my weightloss journey. so many things have happened.
- called off my wedding an moved out on my own
- graduated university with honours
- started a new career
- saw my dad for the first time in 12 years
- lost my dad 3 weeks later to stomach cancer
- went 3 months without fast food, sugar, pizza, chocalte and lost 45 pounds
- been on an 8-month bender of food.
- got a promotion at work
- sold 6 feature articles and 2 photgraphs to a local paper
- had a poem published in a literay journal

so from a weight perspective, here is how the year went:
Aug: 305
Sept: 295
Oct: 292
Nov: 291
Dec: 284
Jan: 276
Feb: 265
March: 275
April: 279
May: 285
June: 296
July: 307
Aug 08: 305

so, i came full circle, and didn't lose a pound in the last year. i hit my high point ever at 310, sometime last month, and i feel like that was my rock bottom. so here is to a new year, trying to take it one meal at a time, and to look at life as a journey, no matter what happens.

Thank you for sharing such personal information. Yes, you might have not "lost" any weight in a year but I am sure you have learned a lot about yourself in a year. Congratulations on all your accomplishments!!!!! :drinker: :drinker: I am sorry you lost your dad. That must have been very hard for you. As you said it is a journey, a long journey...Thanks again for sharing. Take care!!:flowerforyou:

Quite a year....this year WILL be better.....you've got all of us here to support you and send you hugs. The only danger ( "Danger, danger Will Robinson!!". .)is that this site IS addictive! But then you know that....

Instead of putting things I don't need in my mouth I frequently check out the community here...It really does help. All the positive affirmations keep chipping away at the old negatives I used to listen to in my head ( voices? what voices?)

Hope this year works for you!!!:flowerforyou:
