Losing Weight- loose skin... on your eyes?

I feel like my eyelids are becoming "older" and I'm still relatively young? I hardly ever wear makeup and so now when I do apply eyeshadow I've been noticing extra skin and it's freaking me out a little... this happen to anyone else?

  • I have quite 'bad' hooded eyelids... always have though, it's not as a result of losing (or gaining) weight. For me it's hereditary. When my eyes are open you can't actually see my eyelid, just the bit of skin below the eyebrow. It makes wearing eye shadow 'interesting' as without a good base the oils in my skin 'sweat' it off. Just another one of those things that make our bodies different and unique.

Drink loads of water, eat adequate protein and try Facercise by Carole DiMaggio. I'm not kidding, I swear it works, it's like face bulking. Put it this way, I've been doing it for 10 years, and I've grown older, but my boyfriends haven't. Lol!

Haha never heard of it but I'll definitely check it out. Love how my face is slimming but that's the one part that confuses me too...

    Thanks!

I did not develop droopy lids at all. Hope you haven't developed a form of ptosis[drooping eyelid(s)]? Some Asians use the Etude House Double Eyelid Tape to seperate the lids ~ am wondering if it could work in your case? My mother has Asian eyelids ~ so I learnt tricks to apply makeup on her face. lol

Agree with Springfield ~ not scientific ~ self expeimental@results. I was a pre-teen who'd bought Jane Fonda's Facial Accupressure Massage book back in the late 80s early 90s. Initially, tried it on myself before I had to administer the facial massage on my mother. Does it work? Yes and no. If you stop, it'll stop showing immediate effects. Nothing 20 mins facial massage in front of the mirror cannot fix. I give myself a maintenance massage [full throttle] every six months. People cannot see the difference ~ I can. I can the see it, so I will massage it. Once you start ~ you will start developing your own techniques to suit the canvas that is your face.

    ETA: Add "pre"
    Good luck!
