I work at a University and since it's the start of the school year there are 4 upcoming picnic/potluck/ get togethers I need to attend. Does anyone have a good strategy on how to track these? Thanks!

If you're measuring properly at home you'll have a good idea as far as eye balling goes. Pick salad and vegetables first, then maybe a grain, piece of meat, and a little dessert. I had to eye ball for 8 days on a cruise with free food 24/7. I think you're fine as long as you don't pick the cheesiest messiest dishes. Or you could pick that. Just log something like "1 cup homemade mac and cheese"0

I usually fill my plate with stuff that I know isn't terrible, liked grilled/baked chicken, salad, fruit, etc. Then I'll find something on MFP that is comparable and log it that way. Since I'm not eating high calorie items, a little guessing won't hurt anything. I also leave some calories left over, so if I'm off on my guesstimates, it won't put me way over where I want to be.0
