What changed when you reached your weight loss goals?

What changes occurred when all the weight you wanted to lose was gone?

What gains & losses occurred (mainly external)?

Did your personality change, love/social life grow, job search improve?

Really anything... I'm very curious to hear.

Well for me reaching my weight goal started me on the journey to further my fitness and test out this 'new' body to see what it was capable of.

Of course during the course of losing the weight I exercised, mainly walking, but the closer I got to goal I amped up the intensity, duration, added in difficult Bushwalks and even did Mountain climbing.

All in all I revelled in this new body...the joy of getting stronger and more flexible each day and I am not that young I'll be 52 this September so goodness only knows what I could have achieved if I were in my 20's and onwards.

Sadly, I have to contend with a 2 chronic illnesses which do impact greatly now. So my main objective is to start to listen and respect the signals my pain levels are telling me and that then helps me develop a workable lifestyle plan.

Also, I have found that being lighter has boosted my self-esteem and confidence greatly. I now love shopping for clothes, dress with a 'style' whereas it was throw on whatever was available and I now take more pride in looking good.....

So really for me just about 'everything' changed :drinker:

Good luck with experiencing and enjoying your changes.

That's awesome Spreyton22K! I'm so happy for you that you're in the shape you want to be in and doing things that allow you to enjoy it!

After I lost my first 10 LBS. I received my first compliment. That was a huge boost in confidence. More importantly I'm wanting to get back into shape because my father deals with multiple health problems. I felt incredibly guilty being in a position where I can easily become extremely healthy, but I slacked off.
