I'm confused and frustrated. I try to get on here everyday and log in my food and excercise, but don't always have time! My confusion and frustration comes when everyday I hit the complete food log button and it tells me that if I ate everyday like I did that day I would weigh ???lbs in like 5 wks. Now my problem is I don't really eat any differently now than I have been (ok maybe a little more aware) but not that much difference so why does it seem that my weight has been about the same for like ever?! Now I did lose some in the summer cause it was nice out and I could walk/run, but it seems I have just been maintaining since then. I am just getting frustrated! I would just like to see some difference, honestly I don't really care about the numbers on the scale, maybe a little about the pants size, but really I just want to look and feel good and get rid of my belly!! Anyway thanks to whoever may read this for letting me vent and any help would be appreciated!!

How much do you exercise per week? Have you tried talking to a trainer or nutritionist? I know that I'll loose 2 inches for 1.5 lbs lost. The scale is the last thing to move for me. If you don't change up your eating and exercise then all you do is maintain or gain.0

Don't get too frustrated.. it could be a couple of different things. You mentioned that during the summer you would go outside & walk/run, so your activity level has probably dropped, and if you're less active and eating about the same you'll probably maintain. The other possibility is that you may have hit a plateau. When you have a specific goal to reach and it happens, it really really sucks... but then you have to reassess and jump start your body again basically.
Just remember, don't let it get to you and keep your chin up 20 pounds down is awesome, so you've done great so far!0 -
Your portions probably aren't correct. It's a good idea to buy a food scale. It's really pretty simple. If you're not losing weight, you're eating too much food. It's just no other way to say it. Buy a food scale, measuring cups, smaller plates, and anything else you need to do in order to lose weight. If you're pouring creams, sauces, or whatever else over your foods, they add massive amounts of calories. A salad with all the toppings and salad dressing could easily be 1200 calories. Things have to be measured. Another thing, if you're on a calorie restrictive diet less than 2000, you need to convert the calories for your diet. For example, a 1500 calorie diet looks like this
1500/2000 = 3/4 * serving size
1500/2000 = 3/4 * calories
So, if your cookies are 150 calories per serving, and 3 cookies is a serving size based on a 2000 calorie a day diet a person on a 1500 calorie diet shouldn't eat all 3 cookies. There serving size looks like this
1500/2000 = 3/4 * 3 = 2,25 cookies.
1500/2000 = 3/4 * 150 = 112.5 calories
By converting the serving sizes to your daily calorie intake, you'll see far less red.0
