those are just estimates for the app, I would take ANYTHING the application says as a very rough estimate.

Since weight loss isn't linear, there's no way of really giving a solid answer other than "you'll get there when you do."

besides, setting up expectations based on rough estimates could certainly lead to disappointment if you're not to goal when your expected date arrives.

Yes, unfortunately the weight loss that it says you will have is not all together accurate. If you keep up with diet and exercise, you will lose though. Feel free to add me!

I have to agree, it comes off when it wants to. One thing you CAN take to the bank is that it WILL come off if you're consistent and honest about what you are eating etc

There's an app named "Libra". Check it out, it provides a graph of your weight, with a predictive "trend line", so you can see over time how you're doing. I weigh daily, and it really helps to ease my mind when I'm fluctuating a bit.

I found that on average I only lost 4-5lbs a month. I think it depends entirely on how much you have to lose. When I first started on MFP I was losing 1/1/2-2lbs a week but as I lost weight and got closer to goal I only lost 1/2-1lbs a week. At the one year mark I was down 52lbs...so that averages out to 1lbs a week.

Now keep in mind during that one year I went on a cruise, went on camping trips, had lots of parties, holiday eating and just plain fun on weekends. I enjoyed life and lost weight slowly and I'm happier for it. It's now been a 17 months on MFP and I'm still enjoying life and maintaining weight.

Good luck with your weight loss!
