Let's face it a lot of us will not be around 2 months from now because either life got in the way of our weight loss program, we lost motivation, etc. I would like to know what kind of motivation do you think you need in order to not to be the after New Year statistic?

Me? I need for people to tell me to suck it up if I ever start complaining or whatever. I need for you to be blunt. Give it to me straight with no chaser. I don't like people to be enablers. Don't tell me its alright just get back on track. NO! Ask me what the heck was I thinking! Ask me do I want to go back to 324lbs? Drill Sargent me!! My skin is thick!! I can take it.

What about you?

I need someone to prove wrong, even if it is myself! If someone tells me I can't do something I get fired up to prove them wrong and do it bigger, faster and with as much showing off as I can muster so that they know how well I'm getting on.

On the flipside, the worst thing anyone can do is tell me I can do something, if I can do it I lose interest quickly and move onto the next project that I've been told I can't do instead.

Guess I'm a bit of a rebel at heart.

Yeah I'm much like you, I prefer to hear the truth rather than people *****-footying around, cooing "oooh but you look lovely" when my muffin tops squelch out of my jeans.

When I try to slack on the training, such as skip a run, my other half will literally shove me out of the door, and I told him that's what he should do!! LOL So when I want to bail a session he escorts me to the door!! haha

I need competition. I like having the challenge of doing something better than someone else - bit of a narcissist I guess.
  • Well I love a challenge. I love to prove people wrong and thats my drive. Now when i need motivation either way hard or soft will work for me because everyone needs a little "Don't worry" or "What the hell did you do" lol.

Results! I'm sadly someone who's prone to instant self-gratification; patience has never been one of my strong suits. But I'm working on that lol. My lack of patience has led to me giving up in the past, so that's why I have to learn to be patient. Beyond that though, when I can actually see that my body's gotten smaller, more toned or I can fit into something that used to be too small or tight, I'm motivated to go even harder!
