Too Much Sugar?

I find it very difficult to stay within the sugar limit. One carton of skim milk (11) and an apple (16) already puts me right at the mark of 27 for sugar. Better yet, just 1/4 cup of raisins (29) is above the limit. Does anyone else have this problem? Should I have to compromise such things as milk and fruits?

I get the same thing!! I just ignore that area... I eat a grapefruit a day and with another fruit, it goes over! That's insane!

I try to stay under 24g of added sugar so I dont count milk or fruit, however, too much fruit, while always better than candy, can slow your weight loss. xxx

I wouldn't worry too much about it as long as the sugars are coming from fruits, veggies, and other natural foods, but definitely try to avoid refined sugars.
  • I had this exact same problem and have chosen to take it off the nutrients that I track, because I was eating pretty healthy foods almost totally without refined sugar and going over every. single. day.

It was too stressful, so now I just look at the amount of sugar that shows up when I log the food, make a mental note if something seems high in sugar, I limit or avoid it in the future.

I think it means added sugar not natural sugars that come from fruit or at least i hope it does or i would be over too x
