Loose tummy skin ;((

Hi
I have lost quite a bit off weight and now been left with loose skin on my tummy.
I am active I do exercise classes with weights and I have started running, I have a healthy diet I know I might not get rid off my loose skin but if you have any suggestions or what worked for you I love to hear them.

I have that problem too and I honestly don't know what, if anything, you can do about it. Of course, when you're young, the skin is more elastic and can rebound easier. There are no exercises for the skin. You might want to do a web search or ask you doctor. Though I don't think doctors know much about these things.0

well it all depends on how much loose skin.
A little will shrink with time.... but it's a long process cause you cannot burn or pin point on one spot...
Surgery is mostly used when there's too much loose skin.
For a little..well, keep eating well and try to work more on toning exercise...like plank etc...

Some reverse crunches may help. I have started doing those myself. Youtube has videos of how to do them correctly and you definitely feel them. It will still take time to get rid of or at least lessen the loose skin.0

Don't get me wrong I am quite luck I don't have a lot just enough to make me uncomfortable about it. So if there is anything I can do to reduce it I willing to put the work in.
I also have just been diagnosed with PCOS which I have read up on and learned it can be difficult to loose weight aaahhh0 -

I agree...I've talked with my doctor and she said that she would have to start documenting any issues that the loose skin would cause (ie: rashes, open sores, pain, difficulty with everyday life situations) but only once I've maintained at least 18 to 24 months of weight lose and goal weight stability. If you can hang in there for a while and look at the loose skin as a badge of honor, you should be great! I'd definitely talk to your doctor...or find one that is an obesity or diabetic specialist as they will have more insight and information for you!
I've got a ton of loose skin now even before getting started with having had 3 kids so I can't imagine what it's going to look like when I finally reach my goal. :laugh:

***forgot to mention that my aim was to have the surgery covered by insurance which most will do if documented properly.0 -
It can take up to two years for skin to fully retract after weightloss. So you need some patience it's still ptreferable to the health issues that come along with excess weight.0
