I already post this somewhere but I'm new to the message board thing here so not sure if this is the right place to ask! But anyway, I'm 22, 5'4 and weigh 8st. I don't really want to lose much more weight but I've been eating a lot less than I usually would (I know, not healthy) but l have absolutely no idea how to go about maintaining my current weight without gaining any... Advice would be much appreciated!

Enter your info there http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ and see what it tells you to maintain weight, and eat that. Then check a month or so later to see if you've maintained, if not, adjust up or down.0

According to the Harvard School of Medicine:
"multiply your current weight by 15 — that’s roughly the number of calories per pound of body weight needed to maintain your current weight if you are moderately active. Moderately active means getting at least 30 minutes of physical activity a day"

If you gain on that many calories, drop it by 50 or 100.0 -
Also, try this:
This calculator will tell you not only your BMI, but how many servings of various foods to eat to maintain that weight.
If you enter your healthy goal weight (in pounds) this will help you plan your food intake.

If you've been under eating, a word of warning when you go back to healthy calories for your weight.
You will initially gain water, glycogen and food cumulation in the system. Do not panic. You aren't gaining weight, you're just repleting.
After a week or two you should be cruising at a healthier weight, coz at 5'4" and 112 pounds that's pushing the boundaries of health.
Aim for 8st 3lb. Then get on with your young life and learn to moderate with treats and food you love.
Edit: WITHOUT EXERCISE your maintenance figure at 8:3 is 1615. Then you'll need to eat your exercise cals back on top of that. Remember you will gain water with exercise, so don't think you're putting on weight.
If you exercised 3 x week you could be eating 1900/2000 a day.
Please eat! It will make you able to sail through life's storms, and give you energy and hotness!0 -
Thank you everyone! Much appreciated0
